Newcomers & Friends at YWCA Princeton
For over 60 years, the Newcomers & Friends at YWCA Princeton have welcomed people to the Princeton community. These newcomers come from around the world, nation, and state. The YWCA group currently represents 24 states and 14 unique countries.
Transplants don’t have to live in the town of Princeton to join Newcomers & Friends. Members are welcome from all over the area including Montgomery, West Windsor, Lawrenceville, Cranbury, Hillsborough, Hopewell, Pennington, and Monroe. Some are only part-time New Jersey residents and live somewhere else the rest of the year. The social group encompasses anyone who would like to learn more about the town of Princeton while making some new friends along the way.
To join, contact the membership vice president at firstname.lastname@example.org. Members receive a detailed monthly newsletter with upcoming events and meetings. Some of the activities include Friday with Friends at Morven Garden, social coffees, lunches, and gatherings at local libraries. Within Newcomers & Friends are special interest groups where residents can select a type of activity that most interests them. Examples include dining out at area restaurants, bicycling, book talks, card games, gardening, travel stories, cinema, and more.
