Celebrate El Dia de los Muertos at ACP
Join the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) on Saturday, November 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. for a free, family-friendly outdoor festival to learn about the culturally rich holiday known as Dia de los Muertos. The event will include Mariachi, dancers, food, and hands-on projects inspired by traditional folk art.
El Dia de los Muertos is observed in Mexico and throughout the world this time of year, where friends and family gather to remember and honor those who have passed before them. The Arts Council connects the traditions of the holiday by building a community altar dedicated to loved ones, making sugar skulls, decorating with celosia and cempasuchil flowers, and featuring local traditional food and drink of Mexico.
This event is free and open to the public and will be held at the ACP, located at 102 Witherspoon Street in Princeton. For questions, call 609.924.8777.
