Meet select growers and purchase a variety of native plants, woody ornamentals, perennials, annuals, herbs, tomatoes, and other veggies at the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County annual Spring Plant Expo and Garden Market on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mercer Educational Gardens, located on the grounds of the Mercer County Stables at 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township.
This year’s Expo will feature home-grown perennials, trees, and shrubs from the gardens of Rutgers Master Gardeners. A garden market will feature select vendors including Steven Kristoph Nursery of Millstone Township, Shannon’s Nursery from Doylestown, Byrne Farm Market of Wrightstown, and Chickadee Creek Farm in Pennington.
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. Free parking is available on site. Pets are not allowed on the park grounds, except for trained service animals.
Plan to arrive early for the best selection and bring a wagon! Rutgers Master Gardeners will be on hand to help you choose the right plant for the right place. County Horticulturist Justine Gray will be there to answer all your gardening questions.
