
Young Patriots Day at the Princeton Battlefield State Park is a lively and educational afternoon celebrating early American history. It is an immersive experience in 18th-century life — perfect for children, families, and history lovers of all ages. The event takes place on Sunday, September 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Princeton Battlefield State Park, 500 Mercer Street. Register online at the Princeton Battlefield Society site.
Featured activities will include a flag raising ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with the Girl Scouts; live demonstrations from Revolutionary War reenactors performing military drills; historic figures such as George Washington and Ben Franklin; and 18th Century demonstrations of weaving, carpentry and joinery, medicine and science, and surveying with David Rittenhouse. Tours of the The Thomas Clarke House & Museum, information tables, and more educational exhibits will complete the offerings.
