Prallsville Mills, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, offers a variety of cultural and community activities in a scenic setting along the Delaware River and D&R Canal in Stockton.
In addition to a painter’s collective, there are periodic public events, such as the upcoming concert by master guitarist Beppe Gambetta, who returns to Prallsville Mills for winter concerts with three performance son Saturday, January 10 at 3 and 8 p.m., and Sunday, January 11 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $45.
Gambetta blends Italian and American roots music with technique, humor, and stories from a life on the road. Since he and his wife made Stockton their second home (with Genoa, Italy, the first), he has built a tradition of winter concerts at the Mills — returning more than 20 times since his first show there in 1993, most of them sell-outs.
Joining for all three shows this year is Suzie Vinnick, an acclaimed Canadian roots and blues artist with a soulful voice accompanying her bass and guitar work.
Tickets can be ordered here. For questions, email Mia@PrallsvilleMills.org or call 609.397.3586.
Prallsville Mills, at 33 Riser Street, Stockton, is a multiple structure site that represents the early 19th- to early 20th-century industrial era, yet many of its buildings date back to the late 1700s. The 10-building complex includes a grist mill, linseed oil mill, saw mill, and granary. In recent years, Prallsville Mills has become not only a hub of cultural and environmental events — such as concerts, art exhibits, antique shows, holiday parties, auctions, and meetings — but also a popular venue for weddings and other celebrations. These private events are an important source of income for the restoration and maintenance of the site. The year 2026 celebrates its 50th anniversary as a nonprofit organization.
