“Live at the Library” Offers Preview of Fall Season at McCarter

Wonder what is coming to McCarter Theatre Center this fall? A “Live at the Library” season preview on Wednesday, August 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m will offer a sneak peek of the upcoming season.  It will be held at the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street. Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen and Director of Presented Programming Paula Abreu will discuss the upcoming season, highlighting artists from the lineup of music, theater, dance, comedy, spoken word, and family events, including the original rock musical I & You, opening in September. The talk will be moderated by McCarter’s Debbie Bisno, director of university and artistic partnerships.

Prior to McCarter, Rasmussen was artistic director of the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis, and also served as resident director for Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Black Swan Lab new work development program and head of MFA Directing at the University of Texas at Austin.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Abreu started her tenure in 2022 as the head of presented programming at McCarter with a strong connection to Princeton University. In addition to McCarter, Abreu’s experience spans over a decade with major nonprofit institutions in New York.
