Love, Lust, and Revenge in “Il Trovatore”

Boheme Opera NJ, now in its 36th season, presents Il Trovatore, Verdi’s tale of love, lust, and revenge, on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. at the Kendall Main Stage Theater on the campus of The College of New Jersey.

In the classic opera stars tenor John Kum Park as Manrico, soprano Ashley Galvani Bell as Leonora, contralto Alison Bolshoi as Azucena, and features baritone Daniel Sutin as Count di Luna.

The opera is sung in Italian with projected English supertitles, and is fully staged with virtual sets by J. Matthew Root. Artistic Director Joseph Pucciatti stage directs and conducts the Boheme Opera NJ Orchestra and Chorus (which is pictured in another performance).
