When the sun goes down, Palmer Square lights up. There is more to do at the Square After Sunset, a new Thursday night series where shopping, strolling, and enjoying the weather makes kicking off the weekend early more special.

Palmer Square is offering extended shopping hours: the shops are open until 8:30 p.m. Shops are preparing some Square Specials exclusive to Thursday nights, such as $9 martinis at Winberie’s Restaurant & Bar; Happy Hour all night at Yankee Doodle Tap Room; gifts with purchase at Johnny Was and Rowan; a “Crafted with Love” raffle at Princeton Soup & Sandwich Co. (with your purchase, pick a prize out of a basket for freshly brewed drinks, Belgium fries, or a gift card); and 20 percent off your purchase at NIC+ZOE, plus refreshments.

Enjoy live music on the Green from AntGeo (June 5); Rachel & Ty (June 12); The Erik Daab Trio (June 19); and the Jake & Dan Duo (June 26).

There will outdoor lawn games and special arts activities, and HomeFront ArtSpace will be bringing Artie the ArtSpace Mobile to the Square for some hands-on activities.

The hours are 6 to 8 p.m.
