
Who will be named Princeton’s Chili Champion? Find out at the Princeton Community Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, October 5, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road.
Sponsored by the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP), the three-hour event will showcase impressive home cooks and talented professional chefs from the Princeton area. Foodies of all ages can sample 15 unique chili recipes before the Chili Champion is crowned.
Live music and local beer and cider will complete this festive fall day. Funds raised will support ACP and Historical Society of Princeton community programs, bringing art, culture, and history to the area.
Participating professionals so far include Mediterra Restaurant Chef Emily Kirstein, Yankee Doodle Tap Room, Winberie’s Restaurant, Beyond Delicious Catering, and Wood Craft Catering. Participating “amateurs” include Alisan Kavookjian, All Meat No Bean, B&Bee, Chili Business by Najwa, Copper Cauldron Chili Company, Hot Stuff & the Spice Queen, Meraki, Red, Hot, Chili Preppers, STEVIE G, That’s Chili, Suzyn, and Yana’s Kitchen.
Tickets for ages 15 and up are $15 online and $20 in person if available – there is no guarantee tickets will be available on the day of the competition. Tickets for ages 10-14 are $10, and children under 10 are free.
