The Neil Simon play Barefoot in the Park is the first summer offering of Princeton Summer Theater (PST). The play follows two newlyweds and a visiting mother-in-law in New York City.

The PST summer season continues with The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock, July 2 through July 18; True West, by Sam Shepard, July 23 through August 1; and a children’s show, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, with book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. The show is playing on various dates in June and July until August 1.

For more than 50 years, Princeton Summer Theater has offered Princeton students and recently graduated young professionals experience working in every aspect of theater. In 1968, seeking to continue their theatrical endeavors into the summer months, Princeton University students and Theatre Intime members founded the Summer Intime organization, now known as Princeton Summer Theater.
