Triangle Club is Long-Running Tradition in Princeton

CURTAIN UP: One of the oldest clubs at Princeton University, the Triangle Club, is getting ready for its fall show. Alumni who have participated in the club include F. Scott Fitzgerald and Jimmy Stewart.

Welcome to the wedding of the year! No expense will be spared when a wealthy prodigal daughter walks her nobody-fiancé down the aisle — or will she?

That’s the premise of the new Triangle Club show at Princeton University, an original musical comedy, Aisle Be Damned!

This year’s show is performed on Friday, November 14 at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 15 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, November 16 at 2 p.m., all at McCarter Theatre Center.

Tickets are free for Princeton students using a Passport for the Arts with code PUTIGER!; $10 student tickets are also available with code PUSTUTIX. Discounted tickets are available for students and groups of 10 or more. For assistance or information about group rates, call McCarter Patron Services at (609) 258-2787. Visit triangleshow.com/tickets.

The show is directed by Sam Hays; choreographed and associate-directed by Taylor Gordon; and music-directed by Pete Mills ’95; with book, music, and lyrics by the Triangle Writers Workshop.

As one of the oldest clubs at Princeton University, Princeton’s Triangle Club has not only existed but thrived since its founding in 1891. Alumni include Booth Tarkington 1893, F. Scott Fitzgerald 1917, Jimmy Stewart 1932, pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton 1940, Sesame Street composer Jeff Moss 1963, actress Brooke Shields 1987, and more.
