Two Princeton Walks Keep History Alive

Stroll through Princeton history! Take your choice of two historic walks through Princeton on Sunday, August 24.

Explore the historic Princeton Battlefield with an expert guide and experience one of the most pivotal moments of the American Revolution. The 1 p.m. tour, starting at 500 Mercer Street, offers an in-depth look at the Battle of Princeton (January 3, 1777). The tour is $10; register at  pbs1777.org/battlefield-tours.

Or take a Princeton History Walking Tour presented by the Historical Society of Princeton from 2 to 4 p.m. Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, the University Chapel, and Palmer Square. Tickets are $20. Advance purchase is required; the tour starts in the courtyard of the Princeton Battle Monument (GPS address: 1 Monument Drive). Space on this tour is limited to 25.
