Acting for Adults at Bucks County Playhouse

Back by popular demand, Bucks County Playhouse will relaunch their Acting for Adults class, which will take place January 10 through February 28. The class will meet in person each Tuesday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuition is $450. The class is open to anyone age 17 and older.

Through assigned scenes and monologues, this class teaches the basic techniques towards reaching truthful behavior in acting. Using improvisation, assigned scenes, and monologues, the actor will identify the intersection of their own authentic self to the fictional character. This validating class is fun and encourages compassion and understanding of oneself and fellow students. Anyone who has ever dreamed of trying their hands at acting is encouraged to sign up. Register at https://sforce.co/3ikREVn.

Class instructor June Ballinger is an actor, producer, and coach. She has worked on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in numerous regional theaters across the country. Her TV and film appearances include Only Murders in the Building, Hunters, The Blacklist, and Law & Order. She is a member of New York’s Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Actors Center, and The National Alliance of Acting Teachers. Ballinger wrote and continues to perform her solo show Remembrance Day based on the life of her mother, a British code-breaker at Bletchley Park during WWII.

Bucks County Playhouse is located at 70 South Main Street in New Hope, Pa. For questions, visit http://bcptheater.org or call 215.862.2121.
