Kimmel Cultural Campus Welcomes Natalie Merchant
Singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant
In collaboration with Philadelphia’s public radio station WXPN, Kimmel Cultural Campus welcomes singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant as part of her Keep Your Courage Tour. The event will take place on Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Miller Theater located at 250 South Broad Street in Philadelphia. The concert is estimated to run 2 hours and 30 minutes with intermission.
Over her 40-year career, Merchant has attained a place among America’s most respected recording artists. She has earned a reputation for being a songwriter of quality and a captivating stage performer. Merchant began her musical career as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the pop music band 10,000 Maniacs. The band toured extensively throughout the world and has collaborated with many musicians including Billy Bragg, Philip Glass, David Byrne, The Chieftains, Tracy Chapman, Mavis Staples, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. In April, Nonesuch Records released Keep Your Courage, Merchant’s ninth studio album and her first new material since her self-titled release in 2014.
