The Historical Society of Princeton’s Annual Baseball Game

Calling all baseball lovers!

The Historical Society of Princeton’s Annual 19th Century Baseball Game is scheduled for June 27 at 11 a.m. at Greenway Meadows Park, located at 275 Rosedale Road in Princeton. Part game, part show, part history lesson, spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Two vintage baseball teams, the Flemington Neshanock and Monmouth Furnace, will play competitive matches of bare-handed baseball, wearing period uniforms and using rules from 1864 or 1873. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions about the history of baseball and to partake in batting practice in between games.
